カモメと私の天国、ブライトン。なんてカラフルな街なんでしょう。

This was my first visit to the beach in England.
イギリスでの初ビーチ。砂浜じゃなくて砂利！

Took almost 5 hours from Manchester to Brighton.
Manchester Piccadilly → London Euston → London Victoria → Brighton

It is a small photogenic city full of colours, and languorous.

マンチェスターからロンドンへ２時間ちょい、またそこから１時間ほど南下をしてブライトンへ行ってきました。フォトジェニックでカラフルで、海辺の街独特のあの気怠さと適当さがなんともいえなくてツボ。また行きたい場所です。

Summer in Japan

Spring is almost over as the most of cherry blossoms are fallen by the crucial time passed by just way quickly. I hate summer (especially summer in Japan is the worst from my experiences), however, unfortunately, I belong to Summary Japan as it is the season I go back to my hometown and only which I spend from the beginning till the end. Therefore I need find somehow to enjoy this situation.

桜が散り、春がもう終わってしまいそうです。夏、特に日本の夏は大嫌いですが、私に選ぶ余地はなく、毎年夏の始まりから終わりまでを日本で過ごします。帰省したくてしょうがないですが、夏はほんとうに嫌。

PUT ON SOMETHING I  LOVE! Something I cannot enjoy here. Sometimes I spend my day in Manchester with the Japanese traditional dress and just stay at my apartment unless the University wants me to put on and appear to represent the culture of Japanese. Going out with the Japanese dress is absolute fun for me, but very inconvenient. Less people pay attention and ask me to be in the picture with, just because majority of people in UK don't know what it is actually, only a tiny amount of people who are interesting in Japanese culture are aware of.

There many kind of Japanese traditional dresses. To be honest it is too conservative, and in my opinion, the barrier that created is too high, that is the reason why less and less people enjoy this beautiful traditional dress. The material, textile, pattern, and the occasion, there are too many complicated rules exist.

なので夏着物や浴衣を着て過ごすことにしています。毎日、とはさすがにできないけれど週に数日、天気が良くて気が向けば。たまにマンチェスターでも着物を着る日がありますが、滅多に外出することはありません。大学側から着てきてほしい、とリクエストされたときだけ着物を着ておでかけします。あとは着付けの練習となまらないように。いつも使わない筋肉を使うのでたまに着付けをしないと時間を空けて着るときが辛くなります。

I just cannot wait to go back to home and enjoy my days in Japan with this lovely dresses!

夏用に一枚誂えたいけど、プレタの手軽な木綿のもほしいなー、なんて思いながら毎日ネットを徘徊しています。アンティークやビンテージ、古着の着物でサイズが合うのがほとんどないのでその選択肢は残念ながらありません・・・。帯や小物しかご縁が無いかも。たまに身丈をどうにか腰で調節して着られるようなものを見つけても、必ず、と言っていいほどに裄が足りない・・・。こっちのお洋服でも足りないことが多々あるのでそこはしょうがないかな・・・。高校の制服のブレザーも手首でサイズを合わせられたのでぶかぶかでした。

I just mentioned that I hate summer, however, I love and I cannot wait until I go back to Japan to see my loved family and friends. I also look forward to attending Japanese tea, flower arrangement, and British tea lessons I usually take when I am home.
夏は嫌い、と書きましたが帰省するのは大好きです。何より恋しい家族や友達に会えるし、イギリスでは行けないお茶や紅茶、それにお花、着付けのおけいこに行ける。マンチェスターではこちら流にハンドクリーマーでのお抹茶だけれど。


今年は同級生みんな就活や公務員試験だそうで。一番の友達はイタリアへの留学が始まるために日本では会えなさそう。いろんなとこに旅行に行こうかな。

Playing with my film cameras whole day today, finally I got the double light exposure effect! (Failed 7 times until I got this picture)
一日中フィルムカメラで遊んで７回もの失敗ののちようやく望んでいた二重露光のエフェクトができました！ちょっとコツりました。うれしくてうれしくて。

Mr Liu says "What's the..." after he realised what I have done today.
一日中フィルムで遊んでいて気付いたらこの有様。劉さんもびっくり。

Only 2 packs left, I prepared a massive amount of instant films from Japan though. My friend asked Mr Liu and me to travel for a couple of days together after the exams before Mr Liu goes back to China for holiday, so I need to keep some films for the travel..... there are still around 20 days till the travel.... I am afraid I would finish them all.... and I am considering whether I should get new packs here or not.

あんなに買い込んでいたインスタントフィルムもあと二箱しか残っていません・・・。テスト終わったらもっと暖かい方に数泊の小旅行へ行こう、とのお誘いがあるのでどうしてもその二箱はとっておきたい、のですがあと20日ほどあるので使ってしまいそうだなぁ・・・。かなり割高になってしまうけれどもイギリスで買い足そうかなぁ、悩みます。

This period, planning to the coming trip is the most exciting time.

イギリスに来た時からお世話になっている友達と、劉さんとわたしの間で前から行こう行こうという話はでていたのですがなかなかタイミングが合わなくて。彼がテストが終わって劉さんが中国へ帰省する前にみんなで一緒に行かない？と提案してくれたので早速プランを立てています。旅行前のプランを立てている時間が一番楽しい。
