festival for Summer

 久々にパパンとママンと３人で竿燈に行ってきたよー！竿燈に行くこと自体すごく久しぶり。今年は過去最多の竿燈があがったみたい。
For long time I have not visited my hometown's Summer festival: KANTO. This time I went there with my parents. Also this year they got the most number of Kanto in the history.

お父さんの背中に乗った小さな女の子を発見。十数年前の私のようで思わずシャッター切っちゃった。

I found a girl on her dad's shoulders. She reminded me that I was on my dad's shoulder when I was small.

夏になると街中至る所で練習が始まって、竿燈独特のお囃子を耳にする機会が増えるの。放課後になると響くこのお囃子が夏の到来を教えてくれてたみたい。

The music of this festival tells me that Summer has come. All the town would be covered with this music to practice after school.

大きいものになると50kg以上になるみたい。

Big ones are more than 50kg!

この大きい竿燈は一本一本あげる人がいて、手のひらや腰、おでこにのせてバランスをとるの。秋田県の小学生は掃除の時間になると箒やモップでもれなく竿燈を始めちゃう。

ちっちゃーい竿燈を、小学校に入る前くらいの男の子が挑戦してたよ！竿燈のさきっぽがお囃子の山車の屋根にくくられてたから倒れることはなくて安心。

お気に入りの浴衣を着ていきました。今時のふりふりがついてたり、プリントが鮮明で派手な柄の浴衣がどうしても苦手で。なんか私が着ると日本の伝統が薄れちゃうような気がする。それでも古典柄もなんだか面白くない。なので私が選んだのが大正時代を彷彿とさせるような、古典のように落ち着いてるけどモダンなテイストも入った黒地の浴衣。帯だってあの差すだけでok、みたいなのは卒業。自分で結べるように呉服屋さんに特訓してもらった。竿燈のちょうちんってこんなに大きいのね！

中はろうそく。倒れたりぶつかったりで破けてるちょうちんもなんだか素敵。

 ママンのお友達から、ものーすごく素敵なプレゼントをいただきました！まずはこの帽子。フランスで買ったらしく、憧れのヴェールがついてるの。ヴェール下ろして被りたいけど、まだ結婚してないから我慢・・・！これからのA/W,大活躍すること間違いない。

My mom's friend presented me such amazing veil hat! She bought it in France decades ago, and she has not used it until now... I had been dreaming to wear vail hat, and I would like to cover my face with this vail... however I am not Mrs, so I can't ;(

こちらは彼女が銀座のVOGUEで買った繊細に編まれたストローハット。こんなに品があるストローハット、今まで全然見つけられなかったのに、「まなみちゃんに被って欲しいの！」と譲ってくれました・・・！

Also she gave me this brilliantly plaited straw hat! She got it in VOGUE at Ginza, I have not found such an elegant straw hat. She said " I want you to use those". OMG how happy I am.

 後ろ側の大きなリボンも魅力的。
On it's back there is a lovely ribbon.

そしてエスニックなかごバック、毛皮が張られたショルダー。最高のビンテージバッグだよ・・・！幸せすぎて、もう早く早く一緒に出かけたい。
Ethnic tasted bag, and fur shoulder bag. Both of them's tastes have not been found in my style and my wardrobe. I do really welcome them and cannot wait until I go out with them!

Tea Freak!

ママンと一緒に紅茶教室に行ってきました！まずは基本の紅茶の淹れ方。すごいの、今までティーバッグで満足してたのがもうポットで淹れなきゃだめかも。ただポットにお茶っ葉を淹れてお湯を注ぐだけじゃなくて、きちんと丁寧に行程を踏んで淹れた紅茶の味と香りが格別。マンチェスターに帰ったら、早速ポットを二つ買おう。

I took two classes for making british tea with my mom. First we have learnt how to make hot black tea, and after that class I do feel that just teabags would never satisfy me, I need to make a cup of tea with tea pots. It is not just pour hot water with leaf tea into the pot, it is more complicated and the taste and smell of the tea is completely different from the tea from tea bags. I will buy two teapots as soon as I get to Manchester. 

そしてカクテルみたいに綺麗なアイスティーの淹れ方も教えてもらった。

Also we have learnt how to make a glass of ice tea, and it is like cocktail!

こーんなに綺麗なアイスティー、意外と簡単でしかもすごくおいしい！
It is really beautiful and amazingly taste good.

この綺麗なピンクはハイビスカスとかローズピップが入ってて、カルピスで割ったからとても飲みやすいハーブティー。イギリスに住んでると日本にいるときよりも身近に感じる紅茶。もっともっと美味しく淹れて楽しみたいなー。

小さなカフェで売ってるハンドメイドのネックレス。新作なんだって！シェルの十字架がすごく綺麗。

Inspired by my fav model Cara, I longed for khaki skinny trousers. Actually I wanted it to be with black lined as she has, but it is difficult to find. When I looked at this I felt it is too tight for me, however it's so soft and easy to wear. I love to wear this with new Adidas star studs sneakers.
大好きカーラの影響を受けてずっと欲しかったカーキのスキニー。黒いラインが入ってるのが欲しかったんだけどなかなか無くて。細いスキニーで不安だったんだけど、すごくストレッチがきいてて柔らかく履きやすい。adidasの星スタッズが煌めく新しいスニーカーと合わせるのがお気に入り。

I forgot to update about my shopping days in Manchester. The last two days until my flight to Japan which I had stayed in Manchester alone since my boyfriend left, I killed the most boring time by going shopping in city centre. I went to my favourite cafe, Home Sweet Home, and all of shops which I like, just to see dresses and shoes and bags. I used to love going shopping alone before, but now I need my love to be with me. Anyways there is a shop which makes me concentrate, forget about time and smile while shopping, URBAN OUTFITTERS. 

そういえば、マンチェスターで1人きりで過ごした２日間はお買い物で時間を潰した。シティーセンターにあるお気に入りのお店でランチして、お気に入りのお店全部に行って洋服をみて、靴をみて、鞄をみた。そして結局時間と笑顔を忘れるほどに集中してしまうのはやっぱりいるものURBAN OUTFITTERS.

Its textile of this dress is really soft, and I enjoyed the long flight going back home with this. 

このワンピースは生地がすごく柔らかくて、11時間強のフライトで大活躍してくれた。

It is simple however I fell in love to the bottom edge of this dress. 

すごくシンプルな作りなんだけど、重ねられてるように縫われてるところに惚れてしまった。

This sweatshirt is the best shopping in 2013 so far. The lining is fluffy, and around the neck is small, oversized and without food. That's what I had been looking for a long time. 

このトレーナーは2013年のなかで今のところ最高のお買い物。裏地が起毛になっててものすごくふわふわ。そして首回りが小さめで、オーバーサイズで、フードが無くて、ってもうずっと探してたトレーナーのカタチ。

This design is amazing. "AIN'T LAURENT WITHOUT YVES". Actually I prefer Saint Laurent after Hedi Slimane got engaged in designing, of course I have respected YSL with Yves Saint-Laurent and Tom Ford. What makes me excited is that the unbelievable idea to change the name of the top leading maison in the world of mode and businesses in fast fashion has been cynical and sarcastic on it. 

そしてこのデザインも最高。 "AIN'T LAURENT WITHOUT YVES", YVESが抜けたサンローランなんて認められない。いや、私はYSLをSAINT LAURENTにしたエディ・スリマンのデザインのほうが好みなんだけどね、もちろんサンローランのもトムフォードのも永遠に憧れだよ、でも、このモード界をずっとリードし続けたメゾンの名前を変えちゃうっていうありえないアイディアと、それを皮肉るファストファッションが好きなの。

Also I got an exotic textile bag. I don't like to take any leather bags inside the plains, and it is sholder bag therefore it is useful at busy time in the airport, the best bag for a long flight. 

それからなんだかエキゾチックなバッグ。機内持ち込みにレザーの鞄はなんだか嫌だし、肩掛けだから貴重品も入れれるし、長いフライトにうってつけでまんまるなとこがいい。

URBAN OUTFITTERS has lines for home and gift, and I found cool skull shots. I don't like tequila but shots are necessary for our flat. I wanted 6 but only 4 packs were available. I cannot wait utill everyone will be back to that flat.

家具も雑貨も豊富なURBAN OUTFITTERS,ショットグラス買っちゃった。テキーラ嫌いだけどね、ゲームするときにショットグラスは必需品。６個欲しかったけど４個パックしか無かった。早くみんなフラットに戻ってこないかなー。
